The Wedding Teepee in Smarso
We had the final wedding celebration this last weekend (not this weekend). It was great! Hanging out in the woods, a treasure hunt, Grandpa burning a bench, Grandma bouncing along to Hank Williams, the stars, lanterns flying in the sky – so, so nice. AND, we (Nora, Daniel, Kristin, Enrico, and I) got to sleep in a teepee! Nora and I slept here one night alone as well – very cool.
Other than that, have you noticed that I pretty much only write here about being busy with vague things going on in my immediate realm?
I will list some not-so-vague engagements:
- Attending classes at The Universitat der Kunste-Berlin with Siegfriend Zielinski, conducted in GERMAN. He teaches at EGS as well which is where we made the association. I weaseled my way in; no official attendence for me, but it is free and I have my own little room for studying.
- Bringing the Nietzsche Circle’s (a philosophical scholarly online journal out of NYC) web design up to speed. It still needs a lot of work. If you want to submit a piece, let me know.
- Starting the design for a financial advisor’s website.
- Reading, reading, reading. Current authors: Marshall McLuhan, Max Horkheimer, Theodor Adorno, Friedrich Nietzsche (always), among others.
- Teaching myself Illustrator and Flash.
- Eternally looking for work. I have an interview this week as someone’s personal assistant. I really should give up – I have enough crap to do without a job.
- Writing a thesis that has been languishing and starting a paper I would like to submit to a conference.
- Attending German class for 15 hours a week.
- Being a good house-husband. Nora is the employed one at the moment so I do most of the cooking and cleaning.
- I added a DONATION BUTTON to my website if you want to support this cause (ME!!). Trust me, things are about to explode – get in on the ground floor and invest!!! Even Warren E. Buffet, the Omaha Oracle, says so.
- Nora and I are going somewhere soon, but that is currently a secret. Give it a couple weeks.
- Trying not to lose my mind.
My life in the moment. Back to it.
